Facts on Tap was launched during 1998, and is an alcohol prevention initiative designed to educate and inform students about alcohol abuse and to combat binge drinking on college campuses; this government sponsored program reaches out directly to students across the country and provides awareness materials, technical assistance, and training to more than 800 colleges nationwide.

Recent studies show that after six months, treatment for alcoholism is successful for 40%-70% of individuals that have attended a residential inpatient treatment program.
