  • Is it okay to drink when pregnant? No. There is no safe level of alcohol use during pregnancy. Women who are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant should refrain from drinking alcohol. Several conditions, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders have been linked to alcohol use during pregnancy. Women of child bearing age should also avoid binge drinking to reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy and potential exposure of a developing fetus to alcohol.
  • In cases where an alcoholic is not willing to seek the help that they so desperately are in need of, this can be a challenging situation for their loved ones; the person can only be forced to get help if they are determined to be dangerous to themselves or others.
  • Students at smaller colleges are inclined to drink more alcohol than students at larger schools.
  • Even if an alcoholic is able to succeed at work or hold their marriage together, they cannot escape the effects that alcoholism and alcohol abuse has on their personal relationships, because their drinking problems will put an enormous strain on the people that they are closest to.
